David Trezeguet
- Club: Unemployed
- Knowledge: FRA, ESP, ARG, BEL, ITA
- Expected wages: €9,000 p/w
- Rating: 4 stars
Another former Juventus great is in need of work. This time, it’s Ballon d’Or winner Pavel Nedved. Like Trezeguet, he brings to the table a wonderful combination of scout attributes, but differs in his scouting knowledge range to his former home country/countries of Czechia and Slovakia.
His wages are on the high side, but he is undoubtedly one of the best scouting options in FM24.
Francis Cagigao
- Club: Unemployed
- Knowledge: ENG, ESP, South America
- Expected wages: €9,000 p/w
- Rating: 3.5 stars
Another perennial member of FM ‘best scouts’ lists is former Arsenal scout Francis Cagigao. Above everything else, the best attribute that Cagigao brings to the table is probably his extensive knowledge of England, Spain, and an array of South American countries, such as Argentina, Chile and Uruguay.
The only downside is he is likely to demand a role as chief scout to join your club, and his wages are also rather high.
Roberto Marta
- Club: Atalanta BC (ITA)
- Knowledge: ITA
- Expected wages: €5,250 p/w
- Rating: 2.5 stars
Roberto Marta looks like he could be the go-to option for a high quality, cheap, low reputation scout for players managing lower level clubs in FM24. The big stumbling block however, will be the €475,000 compensation fee to lure him out of his contract with Atalanta.
Outside of that, his only real weakness is his lack of knowledge of countries outside Italy. However, with amazing adaptability, he should be able to broaden his horizons if you need him to.
Jim Lawlor
- Club: Unemployed
- Knowledge: ENG, NIR
- Expected wages: €9,000 p/w
- Rating: 2=3.5 stars
Jim Lawlor’s 17-year tenure as a scout at Manchester United came to an end earlier in 2022, and in FM24 he’s ready and looking for work. With his high reputation, he isn’t going to be accessible for everyone, but if you’re a big club that needs an English scout, he’s the one for you.
While his adaptability is good, it’s not as good as others on this list who you should consider if you are looking for scouts to work in countries other than England and Northern Ireland, but you can’t argue with his maxed out Judging Player Ability and Potential stats
Juarez Fischer
- Club: São Paulo (BRA)
- Knowledge: BRA
- Expected wages: €1,600 p/w
- Rating: 0.5 stars
Juarez Fischer is going to be a very popular FM24 scout pick. Perhaps the most popular. 20 Judging Player Ability, 20 Judging Player Potential, extensive knowledge of Brazil, a 0.5 star reputation, and a very affordable wage.
Picking him up is simply a no-brainer. The only barrier to entry is a €190,000 compensation package you will need to pay to release him from his current contract.
