FIRST-TEAM STRIKERS IN FIFA 22
ERLING BRAUT HAALAND
- 21/07/2000
- Borussia Dortmund (GER)
- Norway
Closely tailing Mbappe as one of the most overpowered players in the game is Erling Haaland. He is a different style of player, more predicated on his strength and physicality than his pace and speed. Nonetheless, he does not give up much in terms of quality, although he is a bit clunkier – no star skills and only 80 dribbling.
Nonetheless, he is still an excellent choice to lead the line for your team, and his 91 shooting makes him a proper marksman capable of propelling your team to a Champions League title.

KYLIAN MBAPPÉ
- 20/12/1998
- Paris Saint-Germain (FRA)
- France
He really needs no introduction. Kylian Mbappe is arguably the best player in the game, and he only gets better. Starting at 99 overall with the potential to reach 95, there’s a good chance you can max out both his acceleration and sprint speed attributes, that pair beautiful with his gifted dribbling ability, 5 star skills, and unreal shooting.
If you have the almost €200 million it will take to sign him as he enters the final year of his contract, it’s just about as close to a no-brainer as it gets.

- 95 POTENTIAL
VICTOR OSIMHEN
- 29/12/1998
- SSC Napoli (ITA)
- Nigeria
It feels silly calling a player of Victor Osimhen’s quality a value option, but his price is cheap compared to the astronomically high values of Mbappe and Haaland. Nonetheless, Osimhen has all the qualities you want in a striker; pace, physicality and good finishing.
For around €60 million you will be able to snare him from Napoli, and he has more room to grow and develop than Haaland or Mbappe – although he won’t quite reach their heights.

YOUNG STRIKERS FOR THE FUTURE IN FIFA 22
MOHAMED-ALI CHO
- 19/01/2004
- SCO Angers (FRA)
- France
After leaving Everton and returning to France to join Angers, Mohamed-Ali Cho has become one of Ligue 1’s most exciting teenage talents. At six-foot tall, with 83 pace and 76 dribbling, Cho has all the base attributes there to develop into an effective striker at a good level.
Whether it is as a squad player in a good team, or as a starter for a team in a lower division, Cho has the quality to follow you up the table and be a long-term regular, with the potential to grow to an 85 overall striker.

YOUSSOUFA MOUKOKO
- 20/11/2004
- Borussia Dortmund (GER)
- Germany
Youssoufa Moukoko has been hyped for so long, it is hard to believe he starts the game still aged just 16. Nonetheless, he is ready to come straight in and do a job for you as a squad player at a pretty good level. 84 pace is just enough to make him effective as a runner in behind, and his dribbling and shooting are also adequate to make him useable from the jump.
But there is so much to build on, with the German able to increase his overall rating from 69 to a whopping 89. If you’re patient, for a bargain price you can sign a player that will develop into one of the best in the world.

DANE SCARLETT
- 24/03/2004
- Tottenham Hotspur (ENG)
- England
Unlike Moukoko, Dane Scarlett won’t be as easy to use at the beginning of your save, but he is one to consider parking on loan. It reflects real life, where Scarlett has been playing predominantly in the Tottenham under-23 team, with brief forays into the first team via the UEFA Conference League.
But with a sub-€1 million value, he is worth considering if you have some spare cash, or if you are starting your save at a low level. If you are, he is a player that can grow with you as you move your way up the leagues.

WHAT ARE FIFA WONDERKIDS?
Wonderkids are what every Career Mode manager looks for in FIFA. They’re young prospects – usually aged 16 to 19 – that have elite-level potential in the game. Freddy Adu is a prominent example for older managers, while Youssoufa Moukoko is a current case. They’re the superstar youngsters that are must-buys on every save.
But it’s also subjective. A wonderkid at Accrington Stanley is completely different to a wonderkid at Manchester City. Essentially, the surroundings dictate the status.
WHAT MAKES A GOOD STRIKER IN FIFA 22?
The answer to this question depends on your team, its style, and the role you want the striker to fulfill. You may want a pure goal scorer, a hold-up and link player, a more creative threat, hard-woker, or one that can do a bit of all of that.
The basis remains fairly similar across all three roles, though – you want an striker that is mobile and intelligent, capable of executing the basic responsibilites of the ST.
HOW DO YOU FIND THE BEST STRIKERS IN FIFA 22?
You can do so by utilising the player search tool, which enables you to specify the certain variables you’re looking for in your player – from age to specific attributes.
Make the most of your scouts, too. Send them to look for the best young strikers by defining their criteria – specifying under-23, four-start potential, etc. Alternatively, just scour the Scouted Football website.
HOW DO YOU DEVELOP YOUNG STRIKERS IN FIFA 22?
As always, pathways are paramount. You have to make sure that your youngsters have access to meaningful minutes at the appropriate levels. If you have a first-team ready talent, phase him into the team gradually, during pre-season ideally.
If your prospect needs a bit more polishing, the loan system is a valuable tool. But pathways to senior level minutes are key. Assess your youngsters on a case-by-case basis, decide what they need, and enact your decision.
The highest rated strikers in FIFA 22 are Robert Lewandowski, Kylian Mbappé, Cristiano Ronaldo, Erling Braut Haaland, Harry Kane, Luis Suárez, Romelu Lukaku, Ciro Immobile, Gerard Moreno, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Antoine Griezmann.
