BARGAINS TO BUY IN FIFA 22 CAREER MODE

Carney Chukwuemeka, one of the best young bargain players on FIFA 22 Career Mode

CARNEY CHUKWUEMEKA

At around €2 million, Carney Chukwuemeka is a fantastic option for teams looking to sign budding young English players. Chukwuemeka has had an up-and-down season at Aston Villa. Despite making a number of substitute appearances, some tension seems to have emerged between him and the club over his refusal to sign a new contract, with his current deal expiring in 2023.

In real life, the links are forming to the Bundesliga, but in FIFA 22 Career Mode, you should target him as a solid young player that could be a useful squad option in England’s second tier or below.

Marko Lazetic, one of the best young bargain players on FIFA 22 Career Mode

MARKO LAZETIC

Marko Lazetic was an interesting winter acquisition by Milan. He had started to break into the first team at Crvena Zvezda, but has since slotted into Milan’s Primavera team as they plot a pathway for him into the senior squad.

At 6’4”, Lazetic has an interesting skillset that is quite well-rounded for someone of his size. 68 pace, 66 shooting, 66 dribbling, and 64 physicals with the potential to develop into an 85 overall striker? We’ll have some of that. Especially at €2.5 million.

Cole Palmer, one of the best young bargain players on FIFA 22 Career Mode

COLE PALMER

Cole Palmer has a huge future ahead of him. His little glimpses of first team action  have exemplified exactly why he is so highly rated, never looking out of place despite being just 19 years old.

Coming with a price tag around the €3 million mark, Palmer starts your FIFA 22 Career Mode save with 77 pace which is a good base from which to develop on. He can reach 86 overall from his 67 base, meaning you should be able to improve on the pace statistic while also adding more to his game as he develops.

Giorgio Scalvini, one of the best young bargain players on FIFA 22 Career Mode

GIORGIO SCALVINI

Giorgio Scalvini has had a breakout season at Atalanta, playing a key squad role in the second half of the season that saw him feature regularly in the Europa League and Serie A. In real life, he has featured in defence and midfield, but in FIFA 22 Career Mode, you will be limited to playing him as a centre-back.

At €500,000, he represents great value, although he will require a lot of development and possibly as season or two on loan unless you are starting your save at a lower level. The 17-year-old does develop into an 82 overall with time, so stick with him and watch him develop into a strong top division level player.

Andreas Schjelderup, one of the best young bargain players on FIFA 22 Career Mode

ANDREAS SCHJELDERUP

A product of the famed FC Nordsjælland academy, Andreas Schjelderup has been a first team regular since he was a 16-year-old and continue to go from strength to strength in Norway.

Starting the game as a 66 overall valued at around €1 million, Schjelderup should be a useful player as you can lean on his 75 pace to at least make him useful as a squad option. He is small and lacks strength, but if you are looking for a pacy wide man that can dribble and develop into an 84 overall player, he’s your man.

Leonidas Stergiou, one of the best young bargain players on FIFA 22 Career Mode

LEONIDAS STERGIOU

At 5’11”, Leonidas Stergiou is a little undersized as a centre-back, but he makes up for it with an excellent jumping attribute. Overall, he is really strong physically, although he falls down on the technical side of his game.

That being said, for around €1 million, and with the potential to develop into an 84 overall centre-back, there is room for those passing and dribbling stats to develop. If they can go somewhere close to matching his physical and defensive stats, he could become a really effective defender.

WHAT ARE FIFA WONDERKIDS?

Wonderkids are what every Career Mode manager looks for in FIFA. They’re young prospects – usually aged 16 to 19 – that have elite-level potential in the game. Freddy Adu is a prominent example for older managers, while Youssoufa Moukoko is a current case. They’re the superstar youngsters that are must-buys on every save.

But it’s also subjective. A wonderkid at Accrington Stanley is completely different to a wonderkid at Manchester City. Essentially, the surroundings dictate the status.

WHAT MAKES A GOOD BARGAIN IN FIFA 22?

A bargain in FIFA Career Mode is a player that is available for a market value that is much lower than his potential value.

For instance, if you can sign a player of Cole Palmer’s potential for less than £5 million, that is an excellent bargain.

HOW DO YOU FIND THE BEST BARGAINS IN FIFA 22?

You can do so by utilising the player search tool, which enables you to specify the certain variables you’re looking for in your player – from age to specific attributes.

Make the most of your scouts, too. Send them to look for the best young strikers by defining their criteria – specifying under-23, high potential, etc. Alternatively, just scour the Scouted Football website.

HOW DO YOU DEVELOP YOUNG BARGAINS IN FIFA 22?

As always, pathways are paramount. You have to make sure that your youngsters have access to meaningful minutes at the appropriate levels. If you have a first-team ready talent, phase him into the team gradually, during pre-season ideally.

If your prospect needs a bit more polishing, the loan system is a valuable tool. But pathways to senior level minutes are key. Assess your youngsters on a case-by-case basis, decide what they need, and enact your decision.

Cole Palmer, Leonidas Stergiou, Giorgio Scalvini, Andreas Schjelderup and Carney Chukwuemeka are among the best bargains in FIFA 22 Career Mode.
